Harrell Nominated for AT&T All-American of the Week Award

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell received a nomination for AT&T All-American of the Week for his performance in the Red Raiders' 49-24 win over Eastern Washington. Harrell registered the third 500-yard game of his career with 536 passing yards against the Eagles. He also threw for two scores and rushed for another. Harrell won the weekly award twice last season. Fans can determine the winner by text messaging VOTE to 51234 on their wireless phone. Harrell passed the 11,000-yard mark for career passing yards in the game and moved within two touchdowns of Kliff Kingsbury's school record 100 touchdowns responsible for. Harrell has been responsible for 98 touchdowns in his career and 91 passing scores. The Red Raiders continue the 2008 season Saturday at Nevada in Reno. The game can be heard on Sports Radio 1340 in Lubbock and surrounding areas and on one of the Texas Tech Sports Network's many affiliates across the state. Sirius Satellite and XM radio also will carry the game. Fans have until 10:59 p.m. CT on Wednesday to submit their votes. Voting ends at noon ET on Jan. 6, and the winner will be announced during the BCS National Championship game on FOX on Jan. 9.
