- Today's starters against No. 2 Missouri are Terran Petteway, Javarez Willis, Kevin Wagner, Robert Lewandowski and Jordan Tolbert. This is the 11th different starting lineup this season for the Red Raiders. Jaye Crockett, Luke Adams, Petteway, Wagner and Tolbert started the second half.
- This is the 22nd meeting between the two schools. Mizzou leads the all-time series, 15-7. The Red Raiders lead the series in Columbia, 9-1.
- The Texas Tech coaching staff wore white Under Armour court shoes to raise awareness for Coaches versus Cancer.

- Jaye Crockett recorded his third career double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. The 11 rebounds were a career high. It was his 12th career double digit scoring effort.
- Ty Nurse led the Red Raiders in scoring against the Tigers with 13 points. It was his eighth double digit scoring effort of the season and the fourth time this season he has led the Red Raiders in scoring.
- For the fourth straight Big 12 Conference road game, Texas Tech outrebounded its opponent. The Red Raiders pulled down 31 rebounds to Mizzou's 27.
