LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech turned its attention to No. 17 Oklahoma on Monday morning as the Red Raiders held their weekly press conference inside the Football Training Facility.
The Red Raiders (5-2; 2-2), coming off a 30-20 victory this past weekend against Kansas, will look to become bowl eligible for the 37th time in program history and the 23rd time in the past 25 seasons when Texas Tech and the Sooners (5-1; 2-1) meet on Saturday.
"This week, our team knows what's ahead of us," Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury said. "It's a great team on the road where they play very well. We're going to have to play our best."The victory at Kansas marked Texas Tech's third-straight win in a true road environment (no neutral sites) dating back to the conclusion of the 2014 season. The Red Raiders scored at least 30 points for the seventh-straight game in the win, matching the longest such streak to start a season since 2011.
The Red Raiders continue to boast one of the nation's top offense as Texas Tech's 49.4 points per game ranks third nationally. Texas Tech also ranks second in the country in both total offense and passing offense as well.
Kickoff for Saturday's game is slated for 2:30 p.m. CT at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman. Television coverage will be provided on ABC with a reverse mirror on ESPN2.
