Texas Tech fans are advised to arrive early Saturday due to construction near The Star in Frisco
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech fans attending the Spring Game this Saturday are advised to arrive early due to construction work that will begin Friday night on the Dallas North Tollway near The Star in Frisco.

The North Texas Toll Authority announced Tuesday that sections of the Dallas North Tollway will close from 11 p.m. Friday night until 5 a.m. next Monday morning. During that time, the NTTA will demolish the remaining half of the old Tennyson Parkway bridge over the Dallas North Tollway.
 The Tennyson Parkway over the DNT will be open to traffic during the construction. Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area.

Tech fans who arrive early can join the Goin' Band from Raiderland as well as the Texas Tech spirit squads for pregame festivities beginning at 11 a.m. on the Tostitos Championship Plaza outside the Ford Center. Tickets for Saturday's 3 p.m. game are sold out but fans without tickets are encouraged to watch the game from the plaza's outdoor screen. Â

Tailgating will be permitted prior to the Spring Game in the grass areas in the B1 and A2 parking lots that surround The Star. Parking around the facility will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Saturday's game will air live on FOX Sports Southwest Plus as well as the FOX Sports Go app with Brian Jensen calling the action alongside John Harris.

- All southbound lanes of the DNT from Gaylord Parkway to the Spring Creek Parkway entrance ramp.
- The southeast-bound and northwest-bound direct-connector ramps from the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) to southbound DNT.
- The northbound DNT direct-connector ramp to southeast-bound and northwest-bound SRT.
- The northbound entrance ramps from Windhaven Parkway and Spring Creek Parkway.
- The northbound exit ramps at Legacy Drive and Headquarters Drive.
- The southbound entrance ramps from Gaylord Parkway, SH 121 and Legacy Drive.
- The southbound exit ramps to Legacy Drive and Spring Creek Parkway.
