Paula Workman Named to GTE Academic All-America Team

LUBBOCK, TEXAS - Texas Tech junior Paula Workman has been named to the GTE Academic All-America softball team. Workman is a third team selection for the second straight year.

Workman is a junior high-performance management major from Austin, Texas. She carries an impressive 3.96 cumulative GPA and is one of Texas Tech's top student-athletes. Her work in the classroom carries on to the softball diamond as Paula was third on the team this season in batting average and was second on the team in home runs.

Three players from the Big 12 made the all-america team and all were third team selections. Kristin Ferguson from Iowa State, Nikki Cockrell from Texas and Workman make up the Big 12 honorees.
