Position Description
The Marsha Sharp Center is currently looking to hire qualified candidates in a variety of subject areas to serve as tutors for the Spring 2024 semester. The MSC is an on-campus tutoring center that operates Monday- Thursday, 8:00 am-9:00 pm, Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, and Sunday, 5:00-9:00 pm. Within that time frame, tutors are given the ability to designate when they are available for work, creating their own schedule. As a student employee, the maximum a tutor can work is 20 hours/week. Flexibility, both in schedule and courses, allows for the best hours. This is a position that could carry into future semesters.
Subject Tutors work with student-athletes one-on-one as a supplement to what the student is learning in class. Subject tutoring is content-specific, helping the student understand the course's core concepts. Subject tutors must have extensive background knowledge and understanding of the course material.
General Tutors meet one-on-one with students to build and develop time management skills, reading and writing strategies, effective note-taking skills, test preparation and test-taking strategies, and general student self-advocacy skills. General tutors must have good organizational and communication skills. Future or previous educators preferred.
Qualifications:
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 semester TTU/TTUHSC grade point average and 3.0 cumulative TTU/TTUHSC grade point average.

Texas Tech Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and dedicated individual to help sell and retain full season, partial season, group and single game tickets for our ticketed sporting events.
Essential Job Functions (include, but not limited to):
- Generate revenue through the sale and renewal of full season, partial season, group tickets, and single game tickets to all Texas Tech Athletics ticketed sports
- Severe as the primary contact for all soccer, volleyball and softball ticket sales
- Assist the Account Executives with daily and game day experiences
- Develop new business through inbound/outbound calls, text messages and emails to past ticket buyers
- Meet and exceed daily call requirements
- Provide excellent customer service and generate repeat business and referrals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all current clients and prospects within our CRM system
- Work in tandem with the ticket operations, marketing, Red Raider Club, and various other departments in a positive and professional manner

The Student Assistant (SA) has primary responsibilities in providing exceptional customer service and assisting with the operations of all our ticketed sports. Students work with full-time staff members to provide quality customer service experience while assisting customers in purchasing and/or distributing tickets over the phone and/or in person.
Essential Job Functions (include, but not limited to):
- Serve as a ticket seller by selling tickets in person and/or by phone using the Paciolan ticketing system.
- Distribute Player Pass/Will Call tickets to guests.
- Manage cash drawers when assigned.
- Game day ticket sales and reconciliation.
- Provide general information to guests and resolve issues.
- Office support of full-time staff members.
- Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.

- Maintain and assist with travel and procurement credit card reconciliation.
- Assist with travel reporting in the Chrome River Reimbursement system.
- Assist in compiling reports and presentations for coaches and administrative staff.
- Assist in the preparation of necessary compliance documentation and reports.
- Assist with match and tournament responsibilities assigned by the Director of Sports Operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sport Operations.
- Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University regulations and policies.

Essential Job Functions (include, but not limited to):
- Assist the Video Dept with the breakdown of practice film.
- Assist with daily practice preparations and post-practice operations.
- Assist in filming practice and game film for coaching purposes.
- Assist in breaking down TV broadcast feed.
- Assist with developing effective organizational concepts and methods to assist with day-to-day operations of the Video Dept. & football program.
- Will have to work weekends and holidays.
- Travel is required.

Position Description
Texas Tech Athletics' Strength and Conditioning department offers internships through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). The intent of the internship is to provide hands-on training and experiential education to prepare the candidate to take on the next level position in strength and conditioning. Interns are expected to participate in a comprehensive and challenging educational program and hands-on experience (e.g., program design, biomechanics, basketball program development, plyometrics, speed and agility techniques, energy system development, regeneration methods, nutritional basics, leadership and facility, and athlete management).
Strength & Conditioning Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s/master’s degree in exercise science or related field.
- Certified in CPR/AED/First Aid.
- Strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach.
- Pursuing relevant certification (e.g., CSCCa-SCCC).
These are unpaid internships. Individuals chosen may be subject to background checks and will be subject to and expected to comply with all applicable Texas Tech University, NCAA, and Big 12 Conference rules and regulations.
