Red Raiders Cruise To Victory

Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team beat Iowa State University by a score of 7-2, Sunday at the Athletic Training Center. The Red Raiders clinched an early victory by winning five of the six singles match-ups. The win was Tech's first in conference play following two losses. The Red Raiders now stand at 3-5 overall (1-2 in Big 12).
Tech sophomore Zana Zlebnik continued her winning ways with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Noortje Cornelissen. The victory was her fourth in a row. Tech's #2 doubles team of Amanda Earhart and Ana Serrot improved their overall mark on the season to 6-2 with an 8-2 win. Serrot also won her second singles match of the season, easily defeating Kendra Leese 6-1, 6-2.
The Red Raiders will be in action again on Saturday, February 27 at 10:00 am against the University of Nebraska. The match will be indoors at the ATC. Admission is free.
