Media Relations Intern Named

LUBBOCK, Texas - Forrest "Jo Jo" Freeman has been named to the intern position in the Texas Tech athletic media relations office, according to an announcement today by director Kent Partridge.
Freeman comes to Texas Tech from Chattanooga, Tenn., where he last worked with the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts professional baseball team. Prior to his assignment with the Lookouts, Freeman worked in the Mississippi State athletics media relations office for three years before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications in May 1999.
At Texas Tech, Freeman will assist in the day-to-day operation of the media relations office, with special emphasis on softball and track and field. He replaces Heath Borer, who is returning to graduate school at Colorado State after spending the last year in Lubbock.
