Parking Plan At United Spirit Arena Announced

LUBBOCK, Texas - As the 2001-02 basketball season dawns at Texas Tech University, the Athletic Department today announced its parking plan for the United Spirit Arena during basketball games.
Essentially, the parking plan is the same as the previous two seasons with some additions, including a roundtrip Citibus shuttle from the Health Sciences Center lot for $2 per person.
There are five parking areas at the United Spirit Arena and surrounding areas: Arena North (suite holders and scholarship donors), Arena West (PSL holders and media), Arena South (suite holders and scholarship donors), Arena Paid (paid parking) and general parking.
Directions to each lot follow:
ARENA NORTH - Enter the Tech campus via 19th and Flint. Go north on Main and Flint. Go west to Lot AN. DO NOT USE INDIANA. Exit Lot AN. Go east on Main and turn south on Flint.
ARENA WEST - Option 1: Enter via Indiana and Brownfield Highway. Go south on Indiana to Main Street and turn west to Lot AW.
Option 2: Enter via Indiana and 19th. Go north to 18th and turn west to Lot AW. Exit Lot AW to Indiana and go south on Indiana.
ARENA SOUTH - Enter the Tech campus via 19th and Flint. Go north on Flint to 18th. Go west on 18th to Lot AS. Park in specified area within lot. Exit via lot AS. Go south on Hartford to 19th or east on 18th and turn south on Flint.
ARENA PAID - Enter the Tech campus via Brownfield Highway and Dewey Drive. Go east to Lot AP. DO NOT USE INDIANA. Exit via Dewey Drive to Brownfield Highway and go east to Indiana. Turn North on Indiana to 4th Street.
GENERAL PARKING (free parking and student parking) - Enter the Tech campus via Brownfield Highway and Dewey Drive. Travel east to first available parking. DO NOT USE INDIANA. Exit via Dewey Drive to Brownfield Highway and go east to Indiana. Turn North on Indiana to 4th Street.
To ensure a smooth traffic flow on gamedays, Tech is asking that all fans abide by the directions and maps on the back of the parking pass.
