Britz Joins Athletic Staff

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University Athletic Director, Gerald Myers, announced the hiring of Patrick Britz to the athletic staff today. Britz will be the new Associate Athletic Director of Compliance replacing Shane Lyons who is now the Director of Compliance for the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Britz comes to Texas Tech after being the Coordinator of Interpretation and Legislation/Membership Services. At the NCAA, he maintained Division I legislative proposals and served as the liaison to NCAA conferences including: Atlantic Coast, Big East, Big West, Missouri Valley, Lone Star and Presidents Athletic Conference.
Prior to joining the NCAA, Britz was the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Services at East Tennessee State University where he oversaw compliance efforts for a 15-sport NCAA Division I institution. Britz graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in May 1991 in Monetary Economics and Finance.
