Women's Tennis Leaves for Five-Game Road Trip

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team left today to begin a nine-day, five-game road trip. The Red Raiders will make their first stop in Kansas where they will face the Kansas Jayhawks (4-3, 0-0) tomorrow at 1 p.m. The team will continue the trip on Saturday at 2p.m. when they take on the Tigers of Missouri (4-6, 0-5). Facing these two Big 12 opponents will give the Red Raiders a chance to improve on their record of 1-6, 0-2 in conference.
The Red Raiders will end their nine-day trip in California where they will face Cal State-Northridge, the University of California and Cal-State Fullerton. The matches against Cal-State Northridge (March 12 at 2p.m.) and the University of California (March 13 at 2p.m.) will be played in Newport Beach, Calif. Their final game against Cal-State Fullerton will be played in Fullerton, Calif., on March 14 at 2p.m.
The Red Raiders will return home Saturday, March 16, only to leave town again to face the University of Houston on March 22 and the University of Texas on March 23 in Austin, Texas. The teams next home match will be against Oklahoma on March 26.
