LUBBOCK, Texas - Memorabilia from Texas Tech sports legends Sheryl Swoopes, E.J. Holub and Dave Parks are up for bid right now on the Red Raider Club's online auction service, www.collegiateauctions.com.
Also included in the auction is a game program from Coach Bob Knight's first regular season game at Texas Tech, and a vintage poster of Tech mascot "Raider Red" created by the late renowned artist Dirk West.
The online auctions are designed to give all Tech sports fans a fair chance to bid on Tech memorabilia.
"Not everyone can attend our spring and summer events, and our biggest auctions are in Dallas and Houston," Brad Walker, Associate Executive Director of the Red Raider Club, said. "With collegiateauctions.com, we can get more people involved and give everybody a shot at bidding on some fun items. We're having a lot of fun digging through the history of Tech sports and putting the auction items together. This is just a prelude to what our fans will find at our big shows this summer."
All proceeds from the auctions help fund the annual educational costs for Texas Tech scholarship student athletes.
