National Athletic Trainers Month Slated for March

LUBBOCK, Texas - Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainers in Texas will join their colleagues across the nation to celebrate National Athletic Trainers Month by hosting events to increase public awareness, and show the importance of athletic training throughout the month of March.
The National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA), which currently serves more than 30,000 member's is focusing on promoting the athletic training profession. NATA's goal is to make the public aware of the function, identity, and types of service performed by athletic trainers every day at every level of athletic performance - including professional, university/college, high school and clinical settings.
The Texas Tech Athletic Training Staff currently has eight nationally certified athletic trainers on staff. Further, the training staff is composed of nearly 20 student athletic trainers who have strong career aspirations in the profession.
The Texas Tech Athletic Trainers work closely with physicians in the Lubbock community to provide the care the athletes of Texas Tech deserve. With continued dedication and excellence, athletic training has become a recognized field in the allied health care profession.
