Women's Tennis Begins 2003 Season With UTSA

The Texas Tech Women's Tennis Team will kickoff the 2003 season against the University of Texas-San Antonio, Big 12 rival Texas, and the Air Force Academy in Lubbock this weekend.

The weekend will begin at the Lubbock Country Club with the Lady Raiders facing the University of Texas at San Antonio at 1 p.m. The team will return to the McLeod Tennis Center for the remainder of the weekend match-ups. Play will continue on Sat. at 11 a.m. against 12th-ranked Texas as the Red Raiders immediately dive into Big 12 play.

The Lady Raiders will wrap up the weekend with a match against Air Force at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning

Texas Tech will be led in singles action by preseason All-Big 12 candidate Irina Tereschenko and the preseason All-Big 12 double's duo of Irina Tereschenko and Beverly Dawson.
