Tigers Hand Lady Raiders 8-0 Loss

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lady Raider softball squad fell 8-0 to the Missouri Tigers in the final game of the series today at Rocky Johnson Field. The squad logged five hits but six errors allowed the Tigers to seize the win.
In the second, Daisy Mettlach put the Tigers on the board with a two-run homerun, her second of the weekend. A Tech error in the third resulted in a Tiger run that would hold the Mizzou lead at 3-0 into the seventh.
Tech logged five hits heading into the seventh including two singles by Shayne Gipson. Four Tech errors and a double by Joanne Loethen in the final inning of play ensured a Tiger victory, leaving the Lady Raiders with an 8-0 loss.
Tech will continue its six game home stand with a doubleheader versus the Southwest Texas Bobcats (25-9-1) at 2 and 4 pm, at Rocky Johnson Field.
