Tech Softball Travels to Tulsa For Tournament

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech softball will travel to Tulsa, Okla., to participate in their last tournament away from Rocky Johnson Field this weekend before they begin conference play next month. Tech will host a tournament next weekend in their last preseason tournament of the year.
The Lady Raiders (4-13) will take on Alabama-Birmingham at 9 a.m. and St. Louis at 1 p.m. on Friday on the opening day of the tournament. On Saturday, the team will face off against Drake at 11 a.m. and tournament host Tulsa at 5 p.m. The Tulsa game can be viewed on game tracker through www.texastech.com. On Sunday, the Lady Raiders will round out the tournament against Centenary at 11:30 a.m. before returning to Lubbock.
Tech is lead into the tournament by freshman Ashley Parker who is leading the team with a .375 average. Over the weekend, Natalie Enderlin and Elyssa Sigala were named to the All-Tournament team at the Mardi Gras Classic in Lafayette, La.
