Texas Tech Softball Signs with Wilson and Demarini

HILLSBORO, OR. - Texas Tech Softball has signed with Wilson Sporting Goods Co. and DeMarini Sports for 2004. In the agreement reached between Wilson, DeMarini and Lady Raider Head Coach Bobby Reeves, Texas Tech will use Wilson gear and exclusively swing DeMarini bats for 2004.
"The DeMarini bats are top-of-the-line, the Wilson uniforms are great looking and Wilson's gloves are by far the best in the market," says Coach Reeves. "We've got the best fastpitch softball equipment in our hands, which makes us that much better of a team."
Under the leadership of Coach Reeves, Texas Tech competes in the Big 12 Conference. Stepping to the plate with a young 2004 squad, Reeves looks to have the Lady Raiders climb back to the top of their league.
"Texas Tech competes at the highest level, and they've decided to use our product exclusively," says Jim Hackett, Business Director for Wilson Baseball and Softball. "Their goal is to win ball games, and they need the best equipment available. We're proud they've chosen Wilson gear and DeMarini bats to achieve their goals."
Under the agreement, Texas Tech players will choose from DeMarini's 2004 line of high performance fastpitch bats. The Red Raiders will also choose from Wilson's softball gloves, uniforms, batting gloves, and other softball accessories
