Lady Raider Golf To Compete At Xavier Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No.45-ranked women's golf team will be in action this weekend at the Xavier Invitational in St. Troy, U.S. Virgin Islands. The team is averaging a 307 stroke average per round, and are led by the clubs of juniors Kim Kolb and Sheila Mendez, with a 76.87 and 76.44 stroke average, respectively.
Tech is coming off a 15th place finish at the Texas A&M "Mo"morial, and will be looking for their first tournament win of the season heading into this weekend's tournament.
This year will be the first time for the Lady Raiders to compete in the Xavier Invitational, and the first time to compete against most of the teams entered, with only four out of the 15 teams having been faced this year.
The 54-hole event will begin Friday morning, March 12, and will wrap up play on March 14 at the Cariambola Golf Club.
