Red Raiders Drive Into Final Round Sitting In Fourth

Lubbock, Texas - The No.43 men's golf team came out swinging in the inaugural Carter Plantation Intercollegiate in Springfield, LA, and sit in fourth-place after two rounds. The Red Raiders opened the tournament with a 303 opening round and finished the day strong shooting seven-over-par 295.
Freshman Oscar Floren leads all Tech golfers tied for third, shooting a one-over par 145. Floren shot a 71 second-round to pull him within putting distance of the individual title. Sophomore Andrew Dresser shot a 76-73, five-over-par and will enter the final round in 13th place. Dresser sits just four strokes back from finishing the tournament in the top five. Shooting six-over-par, junior Chris Pace shot a pair of 75 rounds 150 to end the day tied for 15th. Tied for 35th and 39th, respectively, junior Shaun Melville and sophomore William Haddrell rounded out the last of Tech's competitors.
Tech will conclude their competition Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. start.
