LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team heads to Tulsa, Okla. this weekend to take on Oral Roberts Fri., March 26, at 10 a.m. and Tulsa Sat., March 27, at noon. The Lady Raiders post a spring record of 8-4 and 2-3 in Big 12 Conference play.
The Lady Raiders are coming off of a tough three-match weekend where they went 2-1, losing only to No. 41 Baylor on Sunday. Senior Irina Tereschenko knocked off the nation's No. 22 player, Carolin Walter of Baylor. Tech defeated Texas-El Paso, 7-0, Friday, and Air Force, 7-0, Saturday.
"The team is feeling good right now," stated head coach Cari Groce. "We know we can't live in the past and are now focusing on Oral Roberts and Tulsa, but winning does do one important thing, it breeds more winning."
The Lady Raiders return to the McLeod Tennis Center on Fri., April 2, when they take on Texas A&M at 6 p.m. for the first night match in school history.
