LUBBOCK, Texas - After splitting its Big 12 Conference opening series with Iowa State at Rocky Johnson Field last weekend, Texas Tech softball takes the road this weekend to battle conference foe Kansas in a pair of games at Arrocha Ballpark in Lawrence, Kansas.
The Lady Raiders (19-20; 1-1 Big 12) are coming off a sweep of midweek non-conference opponent New Mexico State. Tech defeated the Aggies at Rocky Johnson Field on Wednesday by scores of 2-1 and 3-0, behind strong outings by pitchers Kassy Planck and Erin Crawford.
Senior Elyssa Sigala saw her school-record 21 game hitting streak snapped on Wednesday, as she went 0 for 1 at the plate with two walks in game two of the doubleheader.
The Jayhawks and Lady Raiders will square off in game one of the series at 2 p.m. on Saturday and will conclude the series at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
