LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech softball fans will have plenty of chances to see the Lady Raiders in action this week, as they will host three conference opponents and play six games in five days at Rocky Johnson Field starting with a Wednesday double header against Oklahoma State.
The Cowgirls come to town with a 22-21 overall mark and a 2-5 record in the Big 12 Conference. The teams will play two games on Wednesday with the first game beginning at 1:30 p.m. and the second at 3:30 p.m.
On Thursday, in-state rival Texas comes to town for a twin bill at "The Rock." The Longhorns enter the contest with an 18-17 record and are 0-7 in Big 12 play. Thursday has also been tabbed "Pack The Rock Night," which features $1 tickets and $1 hot dogs. Games in the Texas series are slated for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Over the weekend, the Texas A&M Aggies will visit the Hub City. Before a midweek series with Baylor, the Aggies are currently second in the Big 12 with a 7-1 record in conference play. Saturday's game will be "Run the Rock Night," when members of the nationally ranked Lady Raider basketball team will be conducting game operations for the game, including tearing tickets, selling concessions, in-game promotions, PA's and signing autographs. Saturday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and Sunday's series finale is set for 1 p.m.
