Wilson Selected to Assist with USA Softball National Team Program

LUBBOCK, Texas - USA Softball has announced the assignments for the USA Softball National Team Program 2006 events and Texas Tech softball head coach Teresa Wilson is one of five coaches chosen for the World University selection camp which will be held at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
The World University selection camp will produce a team that will compete at the World University Games in Taiwan. Carol Hutchins (University of Michigan head coach), Scott Whitlock (Kennesaw State head coach), Gordon Eakin (BYU head coach), Mike Larabee (University of Illinois assistant coach) and Mark Lumley (Baylor assistant coach) join with Wilson to work this selection camp.
Hutchins was also selected as head coach to lead the team to Taiwan and will be assisted by Wilson, Larabee and Lumley.
This past July, Wilson took over head coaching duties for the USA Elite National team for the 2005 Intercontinental Cup in Madrid, Spain, and led the team to the championship at the event after beating Team Italy, 6-0, in the title game.
