LUBBOCK, Texas - Something that the weather folks are calling a "baby" tornado or a "gust-nado" and then significant rain forced the postponement of the softball game between Missouri and Texas Tech on Sunday afternoon, March 25.
Missouri has manuevered a complicated travel switch in the hopes that the game can be played tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Rain in the Lubbock area (especially at Rocky Johnson Field) was significant between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and the possibility of flooding is now more of a threat than was the weather phenomenon the climatologists were calling baby tornadoes.
If the game does not happen tomorrow, the next scheduled contest for Texas Tech is Wednesday, March 28, when the Red Raiders host the Mean Green of North Texas in non-conference 5 p.m. single game.
