LUBBOCK, Texas - Teresa Wilson's Softball Camps At the AT&T Football Stadium Field and in the Hitting Cages in the Athletic Training Facility
Texas Tech Head Softball Coach and member of the USA National team coaching staff, Teresa Wilson is offering two camps during the summer of 2007. Each camp will be headed by Coach Wilson with Amy Hanson and Dustin Suiter, her assistants, and with members of the Red Raider team.
June 18 - 20: Camp No. 1; Pitching Camp, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - (All ages)
July 9 - 11: Camp No. 2; Offense/Defense Camp, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - (All ages)
Camps are limited to 75 for the pitching camp and 75 for the Offense/Defense Camp in order to keep our instructor-to-camper ratio small. (If your check arrives after we have "closed" a camp, we will return your check promptly.)
Pitching Camp: This pitching camp is designed to be one of the most comprehensive three-day sessions on pitching offered anywhere in the country. Whether you are a beginning pitcher learning basic fundamentals, or an advanced pitcher seeking instruction on adding pitches, growing in the area of sports psychology, or the art of setting up a hitter, this camp uses each pitcher's skill level as the foundation on which to build. In addition to the written materials which each camper receives, this year we will feature a video station where each camper will be taped and evaluated with instant, on site video feedback. Parents and team coaches are encouraged to attend to hear the same information provided to campers. Each camper must provide their own catcher, no exceptions.
Offense/Defense Camp: The offense/defense camp format will include our philosophy of hitting, drills for every phase of the swing, the mental approach to hitting, discussions of having plans at the plate and how to execute those plans, along with the breakdown of the defensive fundamentals of throwing and playing infield and outfield. Additionally this year, we will feature the opportunity for each camper to be videotaped and evaluated with instant, on site video feedback. Please be aware that there will be no pitching instruction during these camps;
Because we are limiting the size of each camp, please note that there will be no refunds for a camp missed or for any sessions missed.
