LUBBOCK, Texas - In an effort to out-run mother nature in the Dallas area (projected heavy rain), Texas Tech's game with North Texas has been moved to Monday, March 17 at 7 p.m. The games, originally slated as a twin-bill on Tuesday, will now be a single game. Despite the fact that it is St. Patrick's day, no Red Raider will wear green, but it's likely the Mean Green will.
The Red Raiders, who took the red-eye home from Honolulu last evening, enjoyed two full hours of sleep in Denton, Tex. before the decision to play a game this evening was confirmed. The event will be broadcast via the Game Tracker feature, provided electricity and Internet availability are accessible at the park. There will be no games tomorrow as the team flies home instead.
-- As an additional note, Texas Tech will play its first home games this weekend, Friday night at 5 p.m. and Saturday afternoon at noon, versus Big 12 foe Texas A&M. Games were published as a Saturday and Sunday series, but then someone noticed a calendar for this year and realized that Sunday is actually Easter so everyone agreed that Friday and Saturday makes much more sense!
