LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech fans, just because you are away from your computer doesn't mean you can't stay up to date with Red Raider sports. Texas Tech Athletics is proud to announce the arrival of texastech.com, mobile edition, for your wireless device.
Texas Tech dot com mobile provides all of the news, updates and information about your Red Raiders direct to your mobile phone, Blackberry, smart phone, iPhone or other wi-fi enabled portable device. The smartphone-friendly version of TexasTech.com is essentially the headline content (recaps/releases) and some associated content (box scores and bios of student-athletes and coaches) presented outside of our existing texastech.com template. Along with sport schedules, this is the most sought after content and with the rapid increase in use of smartphones, it was time to effectively provide this content for such devices. Because of the dynamic nature of the schedule pages, we are not yet able to provide this content in a smartphone-friendly fashion. However, it is our goal to do so as soon as possible.
How This Works When a user visits TexasTech.com, an auto-detect script will determine what version of the site the user should receive. If the user is coming to our site via a fully-enabled web browser, then he/she will be delivered the fully-enabled version of our site. If the user is not coming to our site via a fully-enabled web browser (most smartphones), then he/she will be delivered the smartphone-friendly version of our site.
