Connecticut Tops Texas Tech, 4-1

SAN DIEGO - The Connecticut Huskies defeated the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 4-1, on the campus of the University of San Diego Saturday afternoon. Jennifer Lee who singled in the third extended her hitting streak to seven games, a career high.
UConn took the early lead scoring a run in the first and two in the second to make the score, 3-0. The Red Raiders got a run on the board in the third when Danielle Matthews walked and scored on a single by Jennifer Lee. Neither Connecticut nor Texas Tech would score again in the game giving Uconn the win, 4-1.
Texas Tech had six hits and stranded six in the loss to fall to 8-21 on the season.
Tech will be back in action tomorrow as it faces Quinnipiac at 11:00 a.m. CT, followed by Northern Colorado at 1:30 p.m. CT, on the campus of USD. Fans can follow the action live at www.texastech.com
