Red Raider Play Day to Be Held April 4

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Athletics has announced that's its Fourth Annual Red Raider Play Day will be held on Sat., April 4, from 2-5 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium.
The Play Day celebration provides children and their parents the opportunity to experience good, safe and challenging fun. All stations, activities and games will be operated by Tech student-athletes. The community is invited to come out and play with Red Raider student-athletes.
Red Raider Play Day is the perfect opportunity for families to have an enjoyable day together at no cost. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
"This event has been a success for the last several years and the children and student-athletes have a great time," Brian Duncan, member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), said. "We have more student-athletes participating this year and have opened the event up to more children. I guarantee that those who attend will leave with a smile on their faces." The event will conclude at 5 p.m., just in time for the Red Raider baseball game. Families that attend the Play Day will gain free admission to the Tech baseball game that evening against Texas A&M at Dan Law Field.
The fun-filled event is organized by Texas Tech student-athletes and the CHAMPS/Life Skills program. Red Raider Play Day is an annual event that attracts hundreds of youngsters and their families to the Texas Tech campus.
Those interested in attending need to fill out the application and consent form at www.texastech.com and fax it to (806) 742-0575 by Fri., April 2, or bring to registration on the day of the event. Please remember that no children will be allowed in without the consent form and must be accompanied by an adult.
