KIM FINISHES IN FOURTH AT CANES & CARDINAL CLASSIC

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech junior Rosalyn Kim had the best finish of her career at the Canes & Cardinal Classic as she placed fourth and led the Lady Raiders to a seventh place finish in Miami Lakes, Florida.
Kim shot a two-over 73 in her final round to lead the Lady Raiders. It is her first top-five finish of her career and her third
Senior Megan Dowdy shot an eight-over 80 for a tied in 28th place. Senior Ulrika Van Niekerk and sophomore Jackie Smith both finished tied for 31st. Smith struggled in her final round shooting a 10-over 82 and van Niekerk carded a nine-over 81 in round three.
Sophomore Alex Gibson finished the tournament with a three-day total of 241. She placed 49th overall.
The Lady Raiders shot 925 as a team and placed seventh for the tournament as San Jose State won the tournament with an 887.
The Canes & Cardinal Classic was the final tune-up before hosting the 2009 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship at the Rawls Course on Fri., April 24 through Sun., April 25.
