Texas Tech Athletics Introduces Mobile iPhone Application

Texas Tech unveiled Tech Mobile today, the official iPhone application of Texas Tech Athletics. Tech Mobile offers iPhone owners easy access to up-to-the-minute news, scores, schedules, rosters and streaming audio and video for the 2009-2010 school year. Tech Mobile is $4.99 per year and can be downloaded from the iTunes store or from the App Store on your iPhone.
The application provides iPhone owners an interface that gives them immediate mobile access to essential information from texastech.com, the official athletic web site of Texas Tech Athletics. Fans no longer have to wait until they have access to a computer or internet connection to keep up with their favorite Texas Tech sport. Now they can take it with them!
The initial launch of Tech Mobile will include access to the following features:
HEADLINES
Breaking news, by sport, available exclusively from texastech.com.
SCORES
Updated score, schedule and venue information for each contest, and results from past events.
SCHEDULES
Complete schedules for each sport by date, time, location and opponent. Includes home and away team rosters and bio information for each athlete.
AUDIO/VIDEO
Select on-demand audio and video clips, as well as streaming audio for select live events.
Future versions of Tech Mobile may include access to:
- Subscription access to premium audio and video content through your iPhone. Subscribe to RaiderVision All-Access and experience premium multimedia when you're away from your computer.
- Live play-by-play through GameTracker.
The Tech Mobile iPhone application is only compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch and requires iPhone OS 2.0 or later.
