Street Team to Host Raider Power Hour

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletics Street Team will be hosting a "Raider Power Hour" scavenger hunt at various locations throughout Lubbock during the first week of November to give fans the opportunity to receive free tickets to the Lady Raider Basketball home opener game on Sun., Nov. 7 versus Angelo State University and Red Raider Basketball home opener on Fri., Nov. 12 against the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
Beginning Monday, a timetable where clues can be found will be posted on the official Texas Tech Athletics Facebook and Twitter pages to lead fans to `Street Team' locations. You can also visit www.texastech.com/streetteam to get more information and clues. A maximum of three clues will be posted with the last clue giving the exact location.
The scavenger hunt will occur Monday through Thursday during the first week of November with new clues posted to lead fans to the Street Team at various hot spots and places throughout the Lubbock area.
The Street Team will be at each destination for one hour and the first 25 people to find them will each receive two free tickets to the home openers. Opportunities to purchase season tickets for a discounted rate will also be available. Each business location will be providing special complimentary items for fans that stop by to get their tickets.
Fans are encouraged to follow throughout the day via social media outlets the Red Raiders are part of to not miss clues. The Texas Tech Athletics `Street Team' is comprised of 30 elite students who participate in the marketing and promotion efforts of athletics both on and off campus. This group receives a great introduction to the collegiate sports marketing experience as well as given the opportunity to help kick-start the basketball season with finding innovative ways to engage Texas Tech students and fans throughout the Lubbock community.
