LUBBOCK, Texas - The 3rd Annual Student-Athlete Talent Show is Monday, Dec. 6th, at 7pm in the Allen Theater on campus at Texas Tech. The popular Athletics Department event features acts from each of the 17 teams in an evening of fun with all proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics Texas.
Admission for the evening is $5 for students or staff with Texas Tech ID or $7 for general admission and seating is first come, first served. Donations of cans of food will also be collected during the evening and will benefit local charities.
Last year's winners Jacob Karam and Brian Duncan are still student-athletes at Texas Tech and so may be the favorites to repeat, but fans are encouraged to join us to see what other talents their favorite Red Raiders may possess.
"Each year the talent show is always a great event and we want as many people there as possible, not only because we're raising money for a very special cause, but because it gives our community another way to connect with many of our amazing student-athletes," said Justin Paysinger, Director of Student-Athlete Affairs for the Texas Tech Athletics department.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as the best seats will be the first to go!
