Lady Raiders Set For Showdown With Mean Green

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders (3-0) take on the Mean Green of the University of North Texas (2-1) at the Waranch Tennis Complex in Denton on Saturday at 12 PM.
The match with the Mean Green will be the first road trip of the season for the Lady Raiders after they opened with three victories at home to start the season.
Texas Tech downed UT-Arlington in their match opener on January 22, 4-2. The following day, the Lady Raiders stopped Tulane, 4-2. Playing their third match in three days, Tech dropped the New Mexico Lobos, 6-1, at the McLeod Tennis Center on January 24.
North Texas opened their season with a 7-0 win at Jacksonville University on January 23, before losing to No. 8 Florida the next day, 7-0. UNT defeated UT-San Antonio on January 31, 7-0.
Overall, Texas Tech is 12-2 against UNT. Last season, the Lady Raiders defeated the Mean Green, 6-1.
The Lady Raiders have seven matches on the road before returning to the McLeod Tennis Center for their opening conference match against Baylor on March 3.
