LUBBOCK, Texas - In the world of reality television - you should always expect the unexpected.
Texas Tech's new reality based television show that will provide a behind-the-scenes look inside Red Raider athletics is undergoing a name change.
So as not to be confused with a current television program titled "The Ride," Texas Tech is renaming its show to "Raider Power." The phrase Raider Power has long been used in association with Texas Tech sporting events and will provide a great branding tool for the university with this new reality program.
RAIDER POWER will consist of 38 total episodes beginning on Sept. 4, and concluding on May 22. The show will feature Texas Tech football, basketball (men & women), baseball, track, volleyball, softball, soccer and tennis.
The weekly show will air in Lubbock on KAMC-TV and across state and nation on: Fox Sports Southwest, Fox College Sports, Fox Sports Plus, Time Warner Cable "Texas Channel" throughout the state, Cox Sports Network (Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Virginia and East Texas). The show will also air on the official athletics department website (www.texastech.com) and on various stations across the state of Texas.
Please check local cable and satellite listings for the show times in your area.
