LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team wrapped the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in 15th place Tuesday after recording a 28-over 316 final round at the Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
The Lady Raiders entered the day in 12th place atop the leaderboard, but early round struggles dropped Tech from contention. Tech finished the tournament at 73-over-par, five strokes back from Indiana for 14th overall and six back from Michigan in 13th place.
After beginning the day with a share of the tournament lead, Gabby Dominguez struggled during her final round, finishing with an 11-over 83 that put her in a tie for 20th overall. The sophomore entered the day at 1-under-par for the tournament.
Kim Kaufman posted Tech's best score with a 3-over 75 that put her in a tie for 43rd overall. Deborah DeVilla finished 9-over on the day while Hannah Arnold completed Tech's card with a 12-over 84 round. Alex Gibson recorded her best round of the tournament with a 5-over 77.
The Lady Raiders take nearly two weeks off before traveling to Georgia for the Kinderlou Challenge. The two-day tournament begins Feb. 27 in Valdosta, Ga.
