LUBBOCK, Texas - Get out your favorite red Texas Tech shirt, dig out your portable radio, pack a bottle of sunscreen and plan to spend this Saturday with your Red Raiders as eight sporting events are scheduled to take place on the Texas Tech University campus.
In what is being billed as one of the busiest single days in recent Texas Tech athletics history, there will be plenty to keep Red Raider fans busy. Numerous promotions are on tap and fans are encouraged to visit texastech.com/promotions, for the latest weekend deals.
SATURDAY SCHEDULE
7 a.m. Head football coach Tommy Tuberville will be a celebrity chef at the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
Noon: Women's Tennis vs. North Texas (McLeod Tennis Complex)
12:30 p.m.: Women's Basketball vs. No. 1 Baylor (United Spirit Arena)
1 p.m.: Softball vs. Bryant University (Texas Tech Invitational; Rocky Johnson Field)
1:50 p.m.: Spring Football Practice No. 2 (Jones AT&T Stadium - please enter through east tunnel)
2:30 p.m.: Baseball vs. Northwestern (Red Raider Classic; Dan Law Field)
3:00 p.m.: Softball vs. Utah Valley (Texas Tech Invitational; Rocky Johnson Field)
6:00 p.m.: Women's Tennis vs. Cameron University (McLeod Tennis Complex)
6:00 p.m.: Baseball vs. Utah Valley (Red Raider Classic; Dan Law Field)
Fans will be able to catch live radio broadcasts of Saturday's women's basketball game against Baylor and both games of the Red Raider Classic (Baseball) on the Texas Tech Sports Network. The women's game will be carried in Lubbock on KLZK 97.3 FM and KJTV 950 AM while both baseball games will air on Double T 104.3 FM. The men's basketball game at Baylor on Saturday evening will be carried on KXTQ 93.7 FM here in Lubbock.
Advance tickets are available for purchase online at texastech.com and through the athletics ticket office at (806) 742-TECH. Tickets can also be purchased on game day at each athletic venue.
