- Mikey Kenney's home run in the fifth inning moved her into sole possession of fifth on the school's all-time chart. Kenney now has 16 total home runs in only her sophomore season, moving ahead Kelly Rhyne (2003-05) who previously shared fifth overall with Kenney.
- Cydney Allen left the game in the second inning after taking a foul ball off the leg. Randi Tongate replaced the junior. She walked in her only plate appearance.
- Stephanie Drewry, Logan Hall, and Raven Richardson each extended hit streaks in the game. Drewry is up to eight games, while Hall is up to seven and Richardson is to six.
- Brittany Talley's six innings pitched was her longest outing since going 6.2 innings in the season opener against BYU. Talley has gone at least four innings in each of her four starts and sits 3-0 on the year.
