- Tech's four hits were its fewest in a game this season. The Red Raiders' previous low was seven against both California and Indiana in the doubleheader on Feb. 12.
- Cydney Allen's home run in the first inning was her second on the day. It marks the second-straight outing Texas Tech has had a player hit two homers in a single day as Mikey Kenney did so last Sunday against Bryant and Utah Valley.
- Logan Hall finished with eight total RBIs on the day following her career-high seven against Northern Illinois in the earlier game. Hall was 0-for-1 at the plate but added a sacrifice fly in the third and was hit by a pitch later in the game.
- Despite leaving the game in the fourth inning, Raven Richardson was able to extend her hit streak to a career-high nine games. The junior shortstop had a single in the second inning.
- Brittany Talley's previous longest outing was 6.2 innings in the season-opener against BYU. The freshman was one out away from the complete game victory, but a two-run homer sent the game into extra innings where Tech won, 7-5.
