Red Raiders Fall To 13th After Saturday's Second Round

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 14 Texas Tech men's golf team struggled on the second day of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters as the Red Raiders fell from seventh to a tie for 13th with Baylor after posting a second round score of 19-over 307.
Tech's second round score puts the Red Raiders at 30-over 606 after two rounds of play and 36 holes behind tournament leader California, heading into the final round on Sunday.
Senior Nils Floren, who entered today's round in a tie for 14th, was the lone bright spot for the Red Raiders as he climbed all the way to a tie for seventh. Floren posted a 1-under 71 in the second round and now sits even heading into Sunday.
Senior Matt Smith fell to a tie for 34th while Chandler Rusk is tied for 57th and Tyler Weworksi is tied for 59th.
