Lady Raider Golf Finishes Sixth in Arizona

LUBBOCK, Texas - Gabby Dominguez fired a 1-under 71 final round to lead Texas Tech to a sixth place finish Saturday at the MountainView Collegiate Invitational held at the MountainView Country Club in Tucson, Ariz.
Dominguez, who was just a spot outside the top 10 entering Saturday's final round, wrapped the tournament in a tie for fourth overall at 1-under-par. She was 3-under over her first nine holes before dropping a couple strokes on the back nine with two bogeys. The sophomore recorded two-straight even-par 72 rounds on Friday.
The finish marked Dominguez' third-straight tournament in the top 20 and first of this spring in the top five. Emily Tubert of Arkansas claimed the individual title after finishing at 9-under for the tournament.
Kim Kaufman added her second-straight solid round, finishing with a 1-over 73. She ended the tournament in a tie for 30th overall at 6-over with teammate Deborah DeVilla, who recorded a 4-over 76 final round.
Tech completed its 8-over 296 final card with Alex Gibson's 4-over 76 round. Tech's remaining player, Hannah Arnold, finished with a 9-over 81 final round.
Of the nine Big 12 school in the tournament, Tech finished fourth in the group as Iowa State (7-under) won the tournament with a six-stroke lead over second-place Oklahoma. Colorado claimed fourth place at 9-over-par.
Tech heads west once again in a week to take part in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in San Francisco. The Lady Raiders will play three rounds over two days, beginning April 4th.
