Lady Raiders in 10th After Two Rounds in Florida

LUBBOCK, Texas - Gabby Dominguez completed the first two rounds of the SunTrust Gator Invitational in a tie for sixth place Sunday as Texas Tech will enter Monday's final round in 10th place overall.
Playing at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla., Dominguez began the day with a 2-over 72 first round before concluding with a 1-over 71 card. The sophomore is tied with Central Florida's Kaitlyn Price for sixth place at 3-over-par, five strokes behind leader Charlotte Lorentzen of Georgia State.
In the team standings, the Lady Raiders sit in the middle of the 17-team field, shooting a 24-over 304 first round before closing the day with a 23-over 303. Tech is five strokes back of Georgia State in ninth place and six behind Chattanooga in eighth place.
Kim Kaufman finished 9-over following a 5-over 75 first round and a 4-over 74 second round. She sits just outside the top 20 individuals in a tie for 23rd overall on the leaderboard.
Hannah Arnold and Alex Gibson completed Tech's card after Arnold posted an 8-over 78 and 9-over 79 first day while Gibson added 10-over and 9-over rounds. Tech's remaining player, Deborah DeVilla, finished 21-over-par over the two rounds.
Host Florida separated itself from the rest of the field early, posting an even-par first round before finishing the day at 12-over-par. The Gators sit 17 strokes ahead of Florida State in second place.
The final round of the SunTrust Gator Invitational will tee off at 7 a.m. (CT) Monday morning. The Lady Raiders will be paired with Central Florida and Georgia State during the final 18 holes.
