LUBBOCK, Texas - Gabby Dominguez recorded her second-straight top five finish Tuesday as Texas Tech wrapped the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in seventh place following the final round at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links near San Francisco.
After combining to shoot 7-over over Monday's first two rounds, Dominguez hovered around even-par for most of the final round before nailing a birdie on her 18th hole to finish with a 1-under 71 card. Dominguez came into the final day tied for 17th on the individual leaderboard prior to finishing tied for fourth overall with Lauren Weaver of Northwestern.
The finish marks the fourth-straight tournament Dominguez has finished in the top 20 individually.
Tech's first day leader, Kim Kaufman, wrapped the tournament in a tie for 13th place after recording a 5-over 77 card. Deborah DeVilla and Alex Gibson both carded 5-over rounds, while Hannah Arnold turned in a 6-over 78 score.
The Lady Raiders came close to a top five finish as Tech trailed Northwestern and Colorado by a single stroke for fifth place after a 14-over 302 final round. Co-host Oregon claimed the team title after a 2-over final round allowed the Ducks to slip a stroke under second-place Texas A&M.
The Lady Raiders face a quick turnaround before heading to the Baylor Invitational next week in Waco, Texas. Tech tees off the two-day tournament on April 11.
