LUBBOCK, Texas --Former Texas Tech golfer Hannah Arnold fired a final round 2-over par 74 to hold on to a one-stroke win this weekend at the Sundance Tournament in Buckeye, Arizona.
Arnold (72-76-74--222) finished at 6-over to edge out Washington's Lindsay Aho by one stroke in the seventh event this season on the Cactus Tour. She becomes the second former Lady Raider golfer to win a professional event in the last two years, joining former teammate Kim Kaufman, who is currently on the LPGA tour.
The Cactus Tour was created in 2005 for professional women golfers as a place to play outside of the LPGA and The Symetra Tour. The events are based primarily out of Arizona as well as Nevada and California.
Arnold previously finished in a tie for sixth along with former teammate Gabby Dominguez at the Wildfire Tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona last month. She has four, top-10 finishes in seven events this season.
Next stop on tour will be the Wigwam-Gold at Litchfield Park, Arizona, March 31 through April 2.
