Arvidsson Begins Second Stage of LPGA Q-School Thursday

Former Lady Raider tees off at 7:11 a.m. CT Thursday morning in Venice, Florida
LUBBOCK, Texas – Former Texas Tech golfer Elin Arvidsson will begin the second stage of LPGA qualifying school Thursday morning with the first of four rounds at the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida.

Arvidsson advanced to the second stage of qualifying school after finishing in a tie for 20th in late August in the opening phase that was held at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. She was even or under-par in three of four rounds en route to a 1-under 287 card.

The top 80 players over the 72-hole tournament will advance to the third stage of qualifying schools which will be held Nov. 28-Dec. 4 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Arvidsson, a native of Falkenberg, Sweden, is slated to tee off the first round at 7:11 a.m. CT Thursday morning.

Arvidsson ended her Lady Raider career following the 2014-15 season where she helped lead the Lady Raiders to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. She immediately joined the Symetra Tour and has been a regular on the professional circuit. Â
