Gabby Barker enters Friday’s final round of the Silver Belle Championship in a three-way tie for first

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech junior golfer Gabby Barker will head into Friday's final round of the Arizona Silver Belle Championship in a three-way tie for first place after two solid opening rounds at the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Barker opened the 54-hole event with a 3-under 69 first round Wednesday morning that was tied for the second-lowest of the tournament. She followed with a 1-under card Thursday that pushed her to 4-under for the tournament.

Barker, a native of Caldwell, Idaho, is tied with Brigitte Dunne and Haley Moore for the tournament lead entering Friday's third and final round. The trio is among just six players currently under par for the tournament.

The Arizona Silver Belle Championship is one of the top amateur events held nationally during the holiday season. Barker will resume her slate with the Lady Raiders in early February with the Lady Puerto Rico Classic which is slated for Feb. 12-14 in San Juan.
