Lady Raiders Finish 13th at Hurricane Invitational

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- The No. 17 Lady Raiders finished the 2016 Hurricane Invitational in 13th place following a three-day team score of 882 at the Biltmore Golf Course on Wednesday morning.
The Lady Raiders struggled at their second event of the 2016 spring season. Top ranked women's collegiate golfer Gabby Barker led Texas Tech with a three-day 214 (one over) to finish the event tied for 13th place individually.
Barker was followed by sophomore Lauren Mason who carded a final round score of 73 (two over) to end the event with a 223 (10 over) followed by senior Sarah Brown who finished with a 225 (12 over). Kimmy Hill and Emma Ballard rounded out the Texas Tech score card with a 230 and 231, respectively.
No. 7 Northwestern took home the event title with a combined team score of 828 (24 under) followed by No. 16 Iowa State in second with an 849 (three under). Event host Miami finished in third with a 854 (two over).
The Lady Raiders will be back in action on March 21 as Texas Tech will travel to Charleston, SC. to compete in the 2016 Briar's Creek Invitational.
