Texas Tech Athletics Names Botros As Chief Financial Officer

Kirby Hocutt named Jonathan Botros as Texas Tech's new Chief Financial Officer on Thursday afternoon.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Jonathan Botros has been named the Senior Associate Athletics Director for finance administration, Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt announced Thursday afternoon.
Botros will assume his new position on June 1 where he will serve as Chief Financial Officer with direct oversight over Tech's nearly $77 million budget as well as all other business functions of the athletics department. He replaces Bobby Gleason, who announced his upcoming retirement from the university this past November. Gleason's last day will be June 30.
"Jonathan's vision and financial acumen stood out during his interview and throughout the selection process," Hocutt said. "We are excited to have him join our executive team."
Jonathan Botros will join Texas Tech Athletics as Senior Associate Athletics Director/Chief Financial Officer on June 1.

Botros is completing his eighth year at Texas Tech where he has focused on business intelligence, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting (financial, human resources and academic). He has also been an integral part of several recent priorities for the university, including the research and implementation of differential tuition and fiscal impact responses to the 84th Texas Legislative Session.
In 2015, Botros was nominated by the Office of the President to represent Texas Tech at the XXXIV Governor's Executive Development Program.
Botros earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Texas Tech University in 2004. He added a Master of Business Administration in finance in 2010.
Botros, a lifelong supporter of Texas Tech Athletics, resides in Lubbock with his wife, Danna, and their two sons, Kannan and Lincoln.
