Texas Tech women's golf lands three on 2016 Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team

LUBBOCK, Texas- The Texas Tech women's golf team saw three players named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars list Tuesday afternoon as junior Lauren Mason and freshmen Emma Ballard and Mami Yamamoto all earned their way on the list. In order to earn a spot on the team a student-athlete must carry a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5.

The three selections to the 2016 All-American Scholar team marked the fourth straight season that Tech has placed multiple student-athletes on the list, and marked the most selections since placing four Lady Raiders on the 2013 team.

The Big 12 Conference placed 17 student-athletes on the 2016 Team with Texas Tech and TCU placing the second most student-athletes on the list, trailing on Baylor's five selections.
