Teamworks will increase the efficiency of Texas Tech’s internal operations
DURHAM, N.C. – Texas Tech announced Thursday a partnership with Teamworks, the industry leader of mobile collaboration and communication software for athletic organizations, across all sports.
As the athletic department's Collaboration Software Provider, Teamworks will streamline communication for coaches, athletic trainers, advisors and administrators while centralizing player and staff information. With the addition of the Red Raiders, Teamworks now modernizes the internal operations of six Big 12 Conference athletic departments as well as many other prestigious programs in the Southeastern, Pacific-12, Big Ten and Atlantic Coast Conferences.
Delivering athletic organizations many timesaving management solutions, Teamworks' tools will allow coaches and staff to spend more time developing student-athletes by eliminating inefficiencies and promoting uniformity across the department. Teamworks will revamp communication methods, ease file sharing, and reduce paper-driven processes through the convenience of mobile devices.
"The student-athlete experience at Texas Tech is a top priority. As such, we are pleased to implement Teamworks across all sports to assist with time management, as our Fearless Champions balance both their academic and athletic commitments," Senior Associate AD Jennifer Brashear said. "Adopting Teamworks was an easy choice, as it is designed to help streamline communication across units in addition to providing a calendar for each student-athlete and sport, which will assist us as we implement new NCAA time balance guidelines."
At the forefront of innovation in athletics, Teamworks offers an unparalleled depth of functionalities to more than 1,000 athletic-related entities around the world, including some of the biggest names in sports. As today's sports organizations and athletic departments become increasingly complex, Teamworks' offerings promote a seamless internal operation for those managing untold moving parts over the course of a season or academic year. In collegiate athletics, Teamworks streamlines information sharing for nearly 900 NCAA Division I teams. In the Big 12, other athletic programs adopting the platform department-wide include Iowa State, Kansas State, Texas, Oklahoma and Baylor. In other Power 5 Conferences, Teamworks' department-wide relationships include Southern California, UCLA, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Duke, Purdue, Virginia, Colorado, Texas A&M, Georgia and Ole Miss. Other major collegiate partners include the NCAA, which has used Teamworks to enhance its March Madness and other Championship tournaments' experience for all staff, participating teams, officials and game-site representatives; the ACC; the Big Ten; and the Mountain West Conference.
"We live in a mobile-first world; athletic departments that do not pivot or make investments in mobile technologies to modernize infrastructure waste time and resources that could be spent improving the experience of student-athletes," said Zach Maurides, Teamworks CEO. "Teamworks offers the most reliable and consistent way for all sports within an athletic department to operate and remain in sync. We are pleased to be the proven solution for championship level programs, particularly with so many new shifts and regulations administrators and coaches need to be mindful of today."
Teamworks' footprint continues to expand across professional sports as well. The National Football League Players Association uses Teamworks to communicate and share information with every active National Football League player. The platform is deployed by franchises in the NFL, Major League Baseball and National Hockey League. The entire United Soccer League and Major League Lacrosse organizations also utilize Teamworks. Beyond the traditional team or league environment, Teamworks is used by many other athletic-related entities including adidas and Under Armour.
